New Site - Take 2

After playing around with Pelican for a couple of hours this morning, I decided I really like it. It involves using Python (which is a language I'm not too familiar with), markdown for the posts and pages, and Git. Technically, you don't have to use Git, but I decided I wanted to have a revision history of my site so that I could regenerate if I want to.

The nice thing about this is it's completely static, so there's no need for a database connection or anything. Another nice thing is that it's completely free and open-source. Plenty of folks have written countless themes and plugins for it.

Anyway, I'm much happier with this site than with WordPress. I may consider redoing my other sites like Synaptik and SynaptikLabs with Pelican. We'll see.
